Max Smith

Max Smith, 86, resident of Walnut Creek, CA, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the San Francisco V.A. Medical Center.He was born on February 24, 1938, in Hot Springs, AR, the son of John T. Smith and Helen Stuckey Smith. 

Max is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Louise Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Susan L. Smith and Patrick W. Snyder, son, Eric Babbitt, sister, Mozell Murphy, and his niece Kelly Murphy Langridge. 

Max was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary B. Burgi. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Hot Springs firefighter. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Graveside services will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery in Kirby, Arkansas at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 with Pastor Fred W. Hunter officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ebenezer Cemetery at 221 Highway 84E, Amity, AR 71921.
