Mavis Jordan Mays, 92, of St. Louis, Missouri, died peacefully and entered her heavenly home on Saturday, February 6, 2016. She was born in Wattensaw, Arkansas on May 10, 1923, to the late Henry Marion Jordan and Willene Hester McKinnis. She was a long time resident of Waco, Texas and St. Louis, Missouri. She lived in Beebe Arkansas also. She was a retired geriatric nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Mays; two daughters, Beverly Cownover of New Mexico and Jacqueline Gumbert of California; two sons, Henry "Skippy" Hunter of Texas and Billy Joe Steinmetz of Kansas; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins and friends from Arkansas.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 13, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at Wattensaw Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
