Mavis Black

Mavis Black, 80, of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord January 23, 2021.  She was born August 26, 1940 in the Butlerville Community to Alfred and Odell Cordell.  Mavis was a retired truck driver and enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Christy) Baker of Texas; daughter Pam (Randy) Crocker of Beebe; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and nephews Mike Cordell and Johnny Black.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Black and brother, Jim Cordell.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Day Spring Baptist Church, 571 Markham St., in Ward, with burial in Butlerville Cemetery.
