Rev. Maurice F. Burroughs, 81, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Rev. Burroughs was a retired Methodist minister and having pastored in North, Central and Southern Arkansas for over 50 years. He was also a retired employee of U.S. Corp of Engineers, retiring in 1977. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed making turkey calls and loved his garden.
He is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Jeanne; two daughters, Debbie R. Smith, of Jacksonville and Vickie (Calvin) Shipley of Arkadelphia; brother, Calvin Burroughs, of Hot Springs; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday at Amboy United Methodist Church. Graveside service will be 2:30 P.M., in DeRoche Cemetery in Hot Springs County.
