Maudie Wilson Smith age 93 of Houston, TX , formerly of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 in Houston, TX. She was born November 9, 1913 in the Lakeview community in Clark County the daughter of Green and Della Stroud Wilson.
She was a checker for Arkadelphia Steam Laundry for many years and worked at the Arkadelphia Human Development Center for five years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Park Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son Gilbert Smith and wife Mary and daughter Amy Lou Coon and husband Bill all of Houston, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with burial in the Richwoods Cemetery, Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
