Mattie Whitley

Mattie Mae Vanlandingham Whitley age 84, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 in Little Rock. She was born March 1, 1937 to the late Frank and Clara Efird Vanlandingham. Mattie was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. She loved and enjoyed her family especially taking care of her grandkids.

Mattie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Dean D. Whitley on November 13, 2012.

Survivors are three daughters, Cindy (Jim) Taylor of Cabot, Vicky Whitley of Little Rock and Tammy (Greg) Harrison of Chicago, Illinois ; three grandchildren, Nathan (Verenice) Taylor of Little Rock, Emily (Lucas) Widder of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Gretchen Harrison of Fayetteville; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Widder and one sister, Anna Frank Fowler of Friendship.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 17^th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Service will be 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Caney Cemetery (Hot Spring Co.)
