Matthew Robert Dyke

Matthew Robert Dyke, of Conway Arkansas, formerly of Franklin New York, tragically passed away on January 15, 2025. Matt was born Dec. 8, 2000, in Urbana, Illinois and was the son of Cheryl Harmon and Steve Dyke.

Before graduating from Franklin Central School in 2019, Matt was selected as an AVP Facilitator in the anti-bullying program. After high school, he pursued a degree in Graphic Multimedia Design at SUNY in Canton NY. He completed several years of college before selflessly putting his goals on hold in order to become a caregiver to a seriously ill family member.

Matt was extremely intelligent and was definitely the tech expert of the family. He had a wonderfully big heart and never met a person who didn’t like him. He had a passion for singing, photo editing and video games. He loved his animals, family, and friends more than anything in the world.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Harmon of Arkansas; his brothers, Steven Dyke of Arkansas, Christopher Dyke of New York; his grandparents, Shirley Dawkins of Illinois, David Dyke of Illinois; and several aunts, uncles, & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Dyke of Alabama; grandparents John and Marjorie Harmon; his beloved aunt, Janet Harmon of New York; his uncles David Harmon of New York, Tom Dyke of Wisconsin; and several cousins.

As Matt’s death was sudden and tragic, there will be no formal service at this time. A gathering to honor his life will take place at a later date with location and details to be determined. Cremation services were provided by Smith Family Funeral Home-Conway, Conway, Arkansas.
