Matthew M. Holody, 90, of Little Rock, passed away November 4, 2009. Born July 6, 1919 in Michigan to Frank and Antoinette Holody, he was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, a longtime member of the Lions Club and of the Arkansas Real Estate Association.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 66 years, Louese, he is survived by his daughter, Nancy Holyfield of Little Rock; brother, Don Colbert (Donna) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Matthew Rodieck of Afghanistan, Michael Rodieck of Memphis, Tennessee, Meredith Wood (Richard) of Carmel, California, and Melissa Mannix (Bob) of Monterey, California; and great-grandchildren, Alise, Johnathan and Olivia Wood of Carmel.
Rosary services will be held Friday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, 1003 N. Tyler St., Little Rock. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church, celebrated by Msgr. Lawrence Frederick. Interment will be in the Holy Souls Garden. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic School or to Msgr. Francis Allen's School for Exceptional Children.
