Matthew Belew

It is with great sadness that the family of Matthew Owens Belew announces his passing on November 12, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Matt, age 45, was born March 15, 1973 to Judith Owens Belew and Johnny Merritt Belew in Little Rock. Matt grew up and graduated high school in Batesville, Arkansas in 1991 and then completed his degree from Hendrix College in 1996. Matt spent a year in Europe studying philosophy and law and obtaining a second degree from Southern Methodist University in 2000. Matt's love of literature and philosophy gave him great joy and led to the writing of novels, short stories and poetry.

Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John E. Owens, Jr. and his paternal grandparents, Rosabele and Clyde Belew, all of Beebe.

Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
