Mary Jane Brents

Mary Jane “Jean” Brents, 95, of Sherwood passed away at home Tuesday, January 1, 2019.  She was born in Sprudell (Hempstead County) on September 25, 1923 to Patrick Henry and Abbie Mae (Atkerson) McLaughlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Brents; brothers, Austin, Merle, and Pat, Jr.; sisters, Opal, Rachel, Eva, and Dorothy.

She is survived by her children Jim (Margaret) Schenebeck, of Benton, Gerald (Anita) Schenebeck, of Conway, and Paula Schenebeck, of Sherwood; grandchildren, Colin, Erin, and Sarah; five great-grandchildren, as well as other family, friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be 6 PM – 8 PM Sunday, January 6, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood.
