Mary Charlene Browning

Mary Charlene Browning of North Little Rock passed away Monday, February 24, 2020.  She was born in Wooster, Arkansas on February 20, 1928 to the late Alfred J. and Lula Hickman Pearson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years Ruel Browning and her 10 brothers and sisters: Floyd, Cletus, Quinton, Ruby, Edgar, Jessie, Edith, Opal, Woodrow, and Clifford.

Charlene leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Pam Fleming (Jerry) of Ruleville Mississippi, her three grandchildren, Alicia Chandler (Wesley), Jeremy Fleming (Charla) and Charity Blackburn (Dale); her four great-grandsons, Hayes, Brant, Blayne and Trey; and special niece Teri Sheridan.

She was a member of the 47th Street Baptist Church of North Little Rock, she was an avid (and loved to) garden(er), Bingo was her favorite pastime, she so enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and will miss the two furry cat companions she had over the years, Bocko and Rebel.

The family of Charlene would like to express a special thanks to Indywood Estate, Delta Rehab, North Sunflower Medical Center and Sunflower Home Health for kind, loving care they showed Mrs. Browning while under their care.

Memorials may be made to the Indywood Estate Activity Fund, 218 Ronaldman Rd., Cleveland, MS 38732, or to a charity of choice.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:30 a.m., February 27, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with visitation starting one hour prior to service at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be in ARSVC following services.

Pallbearers will be Duane Harvey, Brian Harvey, Trey Cobb, Hayes Fleming, Seth Monroe and Benjamin Monroe; Honorary pallbearers are Brant Chandler, Blayne Fleming and Nicholas Sheridan.  Service will be officiated by Bro. Kenny Griffin.
