Mary Tyler Wolfenbarger, 78, of Benton, Arkansas went to heaven and was reunited with her husband on March 3, 2021. She was born January 7, 1943 in Tazewell County, Virginia to the late Sherman and Ora B. (Hess) Barrett.
Mary worked many years at Benton Window and Door and owned Mary’s Screen Shop. She enjoyed spending time camping and fishing with her family. Mary loved being with her children and grandchildren. Her husband, Tommy, was her best friend. They affectionately called each other Doc and George, nick names they continued to have all their lives. Reading was a passion of Mary’s. Horror and murder mysteries were her choice of books and her favorite author was Stephen King. Mary and Tommy would spend hours watching the classic Gunsmoke, and old Western movies.
Preceding Mary in death are her loving husband, Tommy Wolfenbarger who passed just a few weeks prior to Mary; daughter, JoAnn Barrett; and parents.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory son, Mark Wolfenbarger and wife Jennifer of Benton, Arkansas; two daughters, Brenda Bradley of Benton and Martha Will of Limestone, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends who love Mary and will miss her always.
Graveside service, officiated by her grandson Jay, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 8, at Pipkin Cemetery.
