Mary Ann Kimbrough Vollmer, 82, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, December 25, 2020 after fighting cancer. Mary Ann was born on September 12, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Albert Kimbrough and Ruby Gee Kimbrough, her brothers James A. Kimbrough. Jr. and John C. Kimbrough.
Mary Ann attended Snowden and Central High Schools in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Central in 1956 and attended Louisiana State University and Southwestern where she was an active member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. In 1960, she married Richard F. Vollmer and they had two children. She was an active member of her church, Shady Grove Presbyterian as she raised her two children and served as a founding Cordova Community Center Board Member. She also enjoyed participating in sports throughout her life, and was an active participant in the Senior Olympics through 2019. After a career in real estate, she particularly enjoyed helping Fields Estate Sales during her retirement years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all who love her.
She is survived by her children Anne Bryles (Tommy), Richard Fisher Vollmer, Jr. (Kimberly); grandchildren Marianne Price (Matt), Richard Fisher Vollmer, III, Ann Elizabeth Vollmer, William Thomas Bryles III, and Addison Bryles; great grandchildren Ruby Grace Price, Parish Price, and Lula Kay Price.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the First United Methodist Church-Beebe.
