Mary Ellen Scoville, 88 of Mabelvale, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009 in Hot Springs Village. She was born on November 4, 1921 in Vimy Ridge, Arkansas. She was a daughter to the late George and Clara Seagar Cuff.
Mary Ellen attended River of Life Assembly of God and participated actively as a past member of Mabelvale United Methodist Church. She devoted time to many church activities in her younger years, and was also a member of numerous clubs and organizations in her lifetime.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas William Scoville, Sr., son Thomas (Tommy) William Scoville Jr., her brother Jim Cuff, and her sister Georgie Cuff-Moore.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Kay and Millard Smith of Hot Springs Village; a grandson, Lee Smith of Fayetteville and his family, Paige, Preston Lee, and Dawson Luke; a granddaughter, Jayme Smith Thompson of Dallas and her family, Chris, Allie Reese, and Tobie Quinn. She is also survived by two brothers, Jack Cuff of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Mabelvale, Arkansas, and Fred Cuff of Paducah, Kentucky.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Good Samaritan Chapel in Hot Springs Village at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2009.
Funeral arrangements are handled by Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock. The family requests that memorials be sent to Heifer International at www.Heifer.org
