Mary Ann Gardner Sacco, 85, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at Baptist Springhill Medical Center. She had been a teacher in Omaha, Nebraska and North Little Rock. She was a native of Portland and grew up in Parkdale. She attended Ouachita Baptist College and was a graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) in Conway. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will remain forever in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Jewel Allen Gardner; four brothers, Edward, Jack, Ralph and Robert Gardner and was a descendant of pioneer Ashley County residents. Mrs. Sacco is survived by her husband, Alfio; daughter, Deborah Sacco, of Little Rock; son, Stephen Sacco of Glendale, Arizona; two grandsons, Ben Watson and Brady Sacco; sister, Martha Gardner Sealander; and two brothers, William Gardner of San Ramon, California and Frank Gardner, of Little Rock.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday at Park Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Ken Shaddock officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 P.M. in Egypt Cemetery in Hamburg, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
