Mary Faye Reagan, 87, of Sherwood, Arkansas, died at the Robinson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas on May 29, 2023. She was the wife of Herbert “Dale” Reagan with whom she shared her life for close to 7 decades.
Mary, known most of her life as “Polly”, was born in Clinton, Arkansas on October 11, 1935, and graduated from Clinton High School. At the age of 16, she was named Miss Van Buren County. She met Dale while working at the Blue Bonnet drive-in where she happened to take his order one night. They were married on September 25, 1954. Polly gave birth to 3 children: two sons, Tom and Tim, and a daughter Terry, who died in infancy.
She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother, deeply involved in many of the school and church activities of her children. Polly and Dale were members of First Baptist Church Sherwood, Arkansas for 40+ years and she served her church in multiple ways including singing in the choir. She was also a talented cook and seamstress. Later in her life, she loved and helped care for her three grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren.
Polly is survived by her husband Dale Reagan; son Tom Reagan and his wife Linda, of Covington, LA; son Tim Reagan and his wife Donna, of N Richland Hills, TX; grandchildren Michelle Reagan and her husband Charlie Deskins; Kathryn Esau and her husband Joe Esau, and Marc Reagan; and great-grandchildren Quora and Oliver Deskins; sisters Sally Bonds and Veda Weatherford; and brother Freddy Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Hettie Williams, brothers Howard and Sammie Williams, and sister Dean Arnold.
Visitation will be at 9 am on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Sherwood, 701 Country Club Rd, Sherwood Arkansas, followed by the funeral service at 10 am. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm and will take place at the Bradford Cemetery, 12357 Hwy 16, Shirley, Arkansas.
Serving as pallbearers are Clyde Files, Ronnie Isom, Rick Hotchkiss, C W Reems, Marc Reagan, Joe Esau, and Freddy Williams (honorary).
