Mary Beth Rankin

Mary Beth Rankin, 85, of Benton, Arkansas passed away May 17, 2023 at Alcoa Pines Nursing Home.  She was born March 5, 1938 in Henderson, Texas to the late Robert Frank and Carrie Mae (Freeman) Hendrix.

Mary loved the Lord and was a member of the Highway Church of Christ.  She enjoyed spending time working in her garden.  Family was everything to Mary and she appreciated her niece and nephew taking her to Texas to visit her family every year.  Mary was a wonderful cook and made delicious homemade jellies and apple butter. 

Preceding Mary in death are her parents, Robert Frank and Carrie Mae Hendrix; siblings:  Harold Hendrix, Wayne Hendrix, Joe Hendrix, Sonny Hendrix, Ralph Hendrix and Venita Webb.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 54 years, Raymond Rankin of Benton, Arkansas; son, Bobby Mezzell of Benton, Arkansas; sisters:  Barbara Peveto, Ruby Fleet, and Wilma Williams; sisters-in-law, Clara Trull and Mary Farrow; numerous nieces, nephews, and greats, and great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends who love Mary and will miss her always.

Graveside service will be held Monday, May 22, at Rosemont Cemetery, 1010 Military Road with visitation from 1:00-1:30 PM, followed by service officiated by Pastor Steven Ford at 1:30 PM.  Burial to follow.
