Mary Mitchener

Mary Catherine Eubanks Mitchener was born September 13, 1921 to Mary Alice Eubanks and Walter Turner Eubanks in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She spent the next 93 years laughing and enjoying life. She passed away on December 28, 2014 where she was reunited in Heaven with her husband of 52 years, James D. Mitchener, Sr. and son, James D. Mitchener, Jr; her sister, Nell and brothers, Turner, Charles and Raymond also predeceased her.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Mitchener Mathias (Thomas) of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Amy Mathias May (Christopher) of Fayetteville and David Michael Mathias (Ashley) of Fayetteville, along with four great-grandsons, Thomas and Ross May and Michael and Jacob Mathias. She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Eubanks Beaubien, of Gainesville, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Catherine (called Sugie) was loved and admired by many who appreciated her cooking skills, great sense of humor, love of life and positive attitude. She will be missed. She wishes to thank Elmcroft Assisted Living of Sherwood for their care during her later years.

A visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 followed by a rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A private burial will be at Calvary cemetery.
