Mary Mitchell
Mary Julia Mitchell, 66 of Little Rock, passed away December 27, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock; she was born on December 20, 1945 in Bryant, Arkansas; she was the daughter of Corbit Lawhon and Lucille Greer-Lawhon.
Mary loved singing in the church and working on arts and crafts, and helping people, she will be remembered for how it seemed as though she never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years Reverend Bobby A. Mitchell; daughters Bobbie Johnson and husband Allen and Mistie Floyd and husband David; grandchildren Dylan Foster, Tanner Foster, Landon Floyd, Rickey Floyd, Shelby Floyd, Mandy Carter, Austin Carter, Brandy Sanders, Luke Sanders, and Allen Johnson Jr.; six great grandchildren; a sister Pat Pope-Joy; a brother Bill Lawhon; and numerous other friends and family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at East End Assembly of God with burial following at Salem Cemetery in East End.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.
