Mary Meredith

On Saturday, November 26, 2016 we lost our best friend and Mom.
Mary Jane Martin Meredith, 94, was a lifelong resident of North Little Rock. She was born on September 1, 1922 on what she would call "the right side of the river"... She hated for anyone to say it was "dogtown."
She was a 1940 graduate of North Little Rock High School. As quoted in her yearbook she was "a live wire that won't get stepped on." She was labeled "the most talkative and most inquisitive" by her high school peers.
She leaves to cherish wonderful memories to daughters Janet Lynn Meredith, Cindy Glover (George "Budgie"), Robin DeHaven (Don Edwards), sister, Ellen "Pat" Stith, grandchildren Nicklaus Meredith (Melissa), Brad Meredith (Kendra), Meredith Glover, Beau Glover (Kelli), Beren DeHaven, Drew DeHaven, great-grandchildren, Nila, William, and Wesley Meredith, Sam and Sofia Glover, Charlie, Campbell, and Cooper Glover and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Meredith, son Bill Meredith, parents Pearl Johnson and W.L. "Whipcracker" Martin, two brothers John "Buck" Martin, L.A. "Buddy" Martin, two sisters Willie Mae "Bill" Trammell, and Thelma "Honey" Henneberger.
She will be greatly missed by her loved ones as she joins all of her friends and family that went before her
The family would like to Thank all of her doctors, caretakers at Sherwood Rehab, and Kindred Hospice for their loving care.
A celebration of her life will be on Wednesday, November 30th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to AEDD (Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled) or a charity of your choice.
