Mary Nima (Guiltner) Mercing, of Sherwood born January 23, 1918 in Greene County, Arkansas, passed away in her home Thursday, December 6, 2007.
Nima, a retired cosmetologist, enjoyed quilting with the Cabot Nimble Thimble Quilting Guild. She participated in Sherwood?s Senior Citizen Center and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husbands, J.F. ?Dobe? Guiltner and Edwin Mercing; a sister, Marie Johnson, three brothers, Bud, Dalton, and Lloyd McDonald. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Jerry and Shirley Guiltner, of Oklahoma City, and Jay and Betty Guiltner of Marion, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Scott Guiltner, Clay Guiltner, Erica Frederiksen, Jason Guiltner, Steve Davis, Julie Greene, Ken Davis, Keith Davis; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Holcomb, of Benton, and Wilma Pigue, of Huntsville, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Senior Citizens Memorial Fund at Friendship Baptist Church, 10150 Brockington Road, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Thompson officiating. Burial will be 3:00 P.M. at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com
