Our dear mother Mary Lena Beall McGee transitioned to heaven August 13, 2024 at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 24 days.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.
She married the love of her life, Bob, at the ripe old age of 31. They had two sweet children. Nathan and Gail.
A friend to many, she was a cherished member of First Pentecostal Church where in earlier years she sang in a trio with her sisters, The Beall Sisters. Mary always had a song in her heart and loved to sing until the day she died.
She lived in Sherwood, AR and is leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Nellie Beall, her husband Bob, of almost 70 years, her brothers, Terrell, Virgil, Charles and Troy, oldest half-brothers: Otha Beall and Murvin Wilson. Her Sisters, Ruth, Laverne and Marcella. Her daughter in law, Kim and Granddaughter, Christian.
She leaves behind three sisters, Melba Molberg, Margie Tackett and Alca Dean Best, her son Nathan and wife, Tonisa. Her daughter Gail and husband, Paul, seven grandchildren, Andy, Ailena, Rachael, Julian, Kason, Taylor and Jaclyn, ten great grandchildren, Hadley, Beaudrie, Shepard, Bayla, Brinley, Ainsley, Kinley, Jayce, Camilla and Eleanor, along with countless family and friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
Mary wore many hats. Seamstress, wife, mother, pastor’s wife and business lady. Her favorite was being called Mama and Nana. She was a friend to all.
She and her husband pastored churches in Mayflower and Jacksonville, AR. They later moved to Denton, TX to own and operate a Western Sizzlin’.
Her Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 AM and the visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at First Pentecostal Church, North Little Rock, AR, with Bishop Joel Holmes and Pastor Nathan Holmes officiating.
