Mary Ellen McAnally, age 84, died peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. She was born on April 19, 1932 to the late Walter Allen Sligh and Clara Mae (Bean) Sligh. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward McAnally, one sister, Birdie (Sligh) Neel, one brother, Waldo Sligh, and granddaughter Darinda Gail Ray. She was a member of the Curtis Baptist Church. Mary was a devout Christian and dedicated her life to her family.
She is survived by her two sisters, Wanda (Sligh) Thomason and Sue (Sligh) Howard, two daughters, Gail (McAnally) and Tommy Johnson of Benton and Karen (McAnally) and Skip Rogers of Curtis, 6 grandchildren, Angela (Ray) and Rusty Ledbetter of Gurdon, Laura (Ray) and Jason McDonald of Benton, Jennifer (Rogers) and Jeremy Taylor of Curtis, Brian and Kari Rogers of Bentonville, John Rogers of Curtis, Kyle Rogers of Curtis, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, July 13th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with burial in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
