Mary Margaret Dunlap, age 82, of Hopper, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was born on October 13, 1931, at Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of James Vernon Banks and Sadie Mae Roberts Banks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Dunlap, Jr., her daughter, Mary Margaret Lang; and her sister, Dorothy Virginia Stull. She was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Mount Ida where she served on the Altar Society and as a Eucharistic minister. On Saturdays, she would cook pancakes for the food bank of the Norman United Methodist Church. In her earlier years, she was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Glenwood Chapter #396. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dennis Tims of Bells, Tennessee and Stephanie and Mike Price of Hopper; her stepson, Randall Irizarry of Norman; seven grandchildren, Dennis Tims, Jr., Mike Price, Lisa Young, Lou Price, Keri Lollar, Steve Boberg and Max Lang; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2014, in the All Saints Catholic Church followed by a Rosary service at 12:30 PM and the funeral mass at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be Father Joshua Stengel. Interment will be in the Fancy Hill Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the All Saints Catholic Church Altar Society, 708 Hwy. 270 East, Mount Ida, Arkansas, 71957. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
