Mary P. Slimer Maier, age 95, went to be with her Lord in Heaven on June 29, 2019. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Slimer, and her second husband, Robert Maier. She was also predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Powell, brothers, Bill and Tom, all of Shreveport, Louisiana.
She was known for her philanthropy and her love for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116. Her body will be donated to the UAMS Anatomical Program because she wanted to help the medical and nursing students in their learning opportunity.
