Mary Lawson

Mary Alice West Lawson, 75, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully the morning of April 21, 2018. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Lawson; her parents, William D. and Katherine Cagle West of North Little Rock, Arkansas, brother, Larry Dean West and sister, Wilma Jean West.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Lawson (Larry Bean) of Vilonia,; grandchildren, Cecil Lawson of the home in North Little Rock, Kaya Sopel of Little Rock, Brandon Pierson of Texarkana; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Grace and Sylvia; her loving sister, Betty Ann Howsley (Dan Mooney) of Scott, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Alice enjoyed working in the childcare area of Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas until her retirement.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Gospel of Peace Tabernacle, 214 Mitcham Rd. North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72117 where Alice loved listening to gospel music.
Visitation will be held 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M., Monday, April 23, 2018 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
