Mary Linda Hicks Lanier (Honey) passed away at home at age 80 on the afternoon of December 27th with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Mary Hicks, brother Robert Hicks, and ex-husband Carl Lanier. Linda was born July 5, 1943, in Stuttgart AR. Linda is survived by her beloved sister JoAnne Carpenter, bonus sister Gayle Ghent, son Keith Lanier (Tanya), and daughters Kim Johnson (Greg) and Kerri Post (Wayne). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Haley Hanna Lynch (Ben), Kaden Lanier, Zach Johnson (Karrie), Colby Johnson, Tyler Post (Reba), Mattie Post, Kinley Bradshaw, Carlyn Bradshaw as well as 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her family, she had many lifelong friends that she held near and dear to her heart.

Linda graduated from Mt. Saint Mary Academy in Little Rock AR and was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. Linda was known for her love of dancing as it was one of her most favorite things to do. She loved it so much she was a member of the Bop Club and the Spa City Dance Club. Linda also never met a stranger. She loved to talk with anyone and everyone. She would look at you with the most beautiful blue eyes, and you just knew she wanted to be right there with you in every conversation. Linda also loved the casinos. Though she was never a huge winner of the slots, she loved to play and have fun. Linda loved her family, white and yellow daisies, and her favorite little poodle, Puddin.

The family would like to invite you to be a part of her Celebration of Life on Saturday the 30th from 1-3pm at Silver Springs Country Club in Haskell AR.  In lieu of flowers, please send plants to 169 FG Jones Rd, Malvern AR 72104.
