Mary Ann Glenn Hammershoi

Mary Ann (Glenn) Hammershoi, 86, passed on Tuesday August, 30, 2022. She was born on December 24, 1935 in Greenbrier, Arkansas to Roy L and Ollie (McNew) Glenn.

She worked many years as an executive assistant for the Department of the US Navy and for NASA in Washington, DC and California. While working at the Pentagon, she was asked to go to Switzerland to transcribe records at the Geneva Conference. After the conference ended, she used her vacation time and toured much of Europe. In 1961 she married Ebbe Hammershoi. They traveled extensively, visiting many countries and most of the states in the US. Ebbe preceded her in death on July 2, 2020. Most of their married life, they lived in Anaheim, California near Disneyland where Ebbe worked as a mechanical engineer and technical illustrator.

She is survived by four sisters, Nancy Powell (David) of Hackett, Patty Stroud (Jerry) of Mayflower, Robbie King (Don) of Springdale, and Bobbie Riffle (Wayne) of Sherwood. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Morene Smith and Syble Graham; and brother, John Glenn.
