Mary "Ginger" Taylor

Mary “Ginger” Taylor, age 70, of Kirby, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2024.

She was born in Amity on May 24, 1954, the daughter of Oscar Chester Harvey and Dora Inez Bishop Harvey. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Taylor; her parents; her four siblings, Judy Rogers, Don Harvey, Gene Harvey and Cleda Harvey; and her brother-in-law, Randy Taylor. 

Ginger was married to Stanley Taylor, on March 10, 1972. She was a member at Grace Baptist Church where she also served as a counsellor for Celebrate Recovery. Ginger touched and helped so many lives in her ministry. She loved hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family. Ginger was a wonderful, wife, mother, GiGi, and aunt and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Stan Taylor of Kirby; her son, Kory Taylor of Kirby; grandchildren, Adam Taylor, Aspen Taylor, and Kimbry Taylor; her three great-grandchildren, Slayter, Sawyer, and Emersyn; her sister, Anna Dillard; and her brother, Lynn Harvey; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Pallbearers will be Adam Taylor, Lance Maxey, Hunter Maxey, Brandon Crawford, Jaxon Manning, and Cameron Stinson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Harvey, Tim Harvey, Gary Harvey, Kevin Ray, Derek Torbett, Monty Coffman, and Brock Parton. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood.

 Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with Bro. James Owens and Bro. Tony Hill officiating.

Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.
