Mary Frances Little

Mary Frances Little passed away January 18, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on the family farm in Polk County to Ruby Lee Little and Joseph D. Little on February 11, 1937. After graduating Mena High School in 1955 she moved to Shreveport, Louisiana to attend B.S. Ayers Business School. She worked after graduation from there at Remington Rand Business Machines. She then moved to Houston, Texas where she worked at Texas Eastern Transmission where she was secretary to Management for five years. She then transferred to Natural Gas Transmission and was secretary to the Vice President for 27 years when she retired. After retiring she stayed busy by volunteering at several hospitals in Houston and North Little Rock. She moved to Arkansas in 2002 to be near her family.

After moving to Sherwood, she became a devoted member of Park Hill Christian Church. She loved her church and all her friends there. She and her friends were always busy with anything related to the church and even outside church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joseph Blake and J.D. Little, sisters, Naomi Fearno and Joann Stewman. She is survived by nine nieces and nephews: Tracy Temple (Brad), James Little (Vera), Jody Parker (Jerry), Lisa England (Lucky), Leslie Daniel (Chris), Cindy Uhhrynowycz, Karen Baris (Stephen), Joe Little (Betty) and Sue Little.

Visitation will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a funeral service following at 2:00PM. The family will have a private burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Mena, Arkansas.
