Mary Fancher

Mary Frances Fancher, 88, of Little Rock, passed away November 16, 2015. Born in Little Rock to Max and Mary Dickson Bowers, she graduated from Central High School in 1946 and worked as an insurance secretary for many years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Eastern Star #217 for over 60 years.

Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold and Edward Bowers, and a sister, Helen Hickman, she is survived by her daughters, Mary Catherine Davis of Little Rock and Carolyn Poe and husband, Jim of Sheridan; grandchildren, McKenna Davis, Christy Davidson and Anna Sorrick; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 19 from 1-2 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), followed by the graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Preston Clegg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church Property Committee, 222 E. 8th St., Little Rock, AR 72202.
