Mary F. Thomas

Mary F. Thomas, age 79, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2023. 

She was born in Pottsville on March 5, 1944, the daughter of Buster Kendrick and Ruby Nell Hefner Kendrick. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers, William Kendrick and Wayne Kendrick.

Mary married the love of her life, Roger Thomas, on August 3, 1970. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to garden, baking pies, and most of all spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary will be remembered for the immense love she had for her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is survived by her husband, Roger Thomas of Murfreesboro; her four daughters and their spouses, Tammy and Larry Don Hamilton of Norman, Annette Frances and Jay Munn of Hackett, Betty Baker of Atkins, and Sandy Underwood of Harrison; her two sons, David Lee Cates of Blue Mountain and Timmy Gene Cates of Buffalo, Wyoming; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her three brothers, Jack Kendrick, Dean Kendrick, and Teddy Kendrick; her sister, Barbara McBay; her sister-in-law and best friend, Martha McCauley; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
