Mary Catherine (Katie) May, 83, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2006, surrounded by her loving daughters and family. Katie was a precious wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. A native of El Dorado, Katie was born to the late Lovie and Archie Senn on November 7, 1922. She was an active and involved member of Calvary Baptist Church for fifty-seven years.
Katie is survived by her husband and best friend of sixty-three years, John B. May, of Little Rock; daughter, Janet Reed and husband, Douglas, of Cordova, Tennessee; daughter, Linda Covington and husband, Ken, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Deborah May, of Little Rock; brother, Archie Senn and wife, Sue, of Little Rock; brother, Jerry Senn, of Little Rock; grandchildren, Mitchell Reed, Jason Reed, Kenny Covington, Tommy Covington, Michael Covington, David Covington, Missy Covington Crain, Mary Catherine Kincaid Faulkner and J.B. Kincaid; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Katie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sybil Sneed.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Funeral Service will be on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Dewayne Fisher. Pallbearers will be Katie's grandchildren, and an honorary pallbearer will be J. R. Wills. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
