Mary Lillian Burnside, age 89 of Arkadelphia departed this life on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway. She was born on October 13, 1916, in Pollock, Louisiana to Joe and Viola Singley East. She was the wife of Fred Lee Burnside, Sr., and was a homemaker. Mrs. Burnside worked for Henderson State University in the mail department, and attended the First Church of the Nazerene at Caddo Valley.
Survivors include 2 sons, Donald Eugene Burnside of Greenbrier and David Wayne Evans of El Dorado; 2 daughters, Betty Jean McMasters of Sebastopol, CA, and Mary Ann Ingram of Texas City, TX; a stepson Fred Lee Burnside, Jr. of Canton, GA; a brother, Victor Irby of NC; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia. Interment in the Caddo Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
