Mary Lou Brown of Arkadelphia, departed us on February 19, 2015 at the age of 72. She was born August 16, 1942 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to James G. Irwin and Helen Irene Sanders Irwin. She grew up in Wetumka, Oklahoma and graduated from Wetumka High School. She also attended Shawnee Oklahoma School of Cosmetology, received her license and went on to attend Seminole State College, graduated and became a registered nurse. She retired from nursing from Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center for the State of Arkansas where she worked with wonderful caring people who became her friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Arkadelphia, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy H. Brown; her father, James G. Irwin; mother, Helen Irene Dunn; step-father, Ernest Dunn; son, Gregory Todd Lindsey; brother, Jack R. Irwin; and nephew Matt Tyler of Wetumka, OK.
She is survived by four sons; Jeffrey Kent Lindsey (Stacy) Weleeka, OK, Jonathan Craig Lindsey (Dana), Thomas Eric Lindsey (Roche) all of Tulsa, OK, and Jimmy H. Brown (Debbie) Arkadelphia, AR; daughter, Brandi R. Brown-Hudson (Mike) of Arkadelphia, AR; sister, Linda Sue Tyler (Howard) Wetumka, OK; nephew, Jason Tyler of Wetumka, OK; 15 grandchildren, Peyton R. Fleenor, Presley T. Hudson, Tyler R. Brown all of Arkadelphia, AR, Cody M. Godwin of Hot Springs, AR, Leland P. Lindsey, Zackery T. Lindsey of Wetumka, OK, Caleb Lindsey, Aimee Lindsey of Chickasaw, OK, Jeffrey K. Lindsey, Mary A. Lindsey of Weleetka, OK, Jeramy R. Lindsey, Joshua L. Lindsey of Windom, MN, Jared L. Lindsey of Tulsa, OK, Lacy Lindsey of Ada, OK, Bailey Lindsey of Wetumka, OK; and 12 great grandchildren; a cousin, Anita Currie of Nacoma, TX; and special friends, Lola Vanderpool of Pensacola, FL, Helen Shaw of Wetumka, OK, and Sharon Dilday of Holdenville, OK.
Visitation will be 3-7 PM Sunday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 23rd at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Andrew Sherrill and Roger Genung officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are sons and grandsons.
