Mary Kathryn Bolls

Mary Kathryn Bolls was born October 5, 1950, to Rufus and Cleora Taylor and departed this life on January 12, 2025. She is survived by two daughters Teresa Moore, and Natalie (Sam) Roller as well as three grandchildren, Bethany (Chris) Belt, Clayton Birchett, and Dustin Birchett. She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren: Hunter, Anna, Aubree, Jaiden, Nevaeh, Hazley, Keller, and Madison.

Kathy was a loving mother and a fierce friend. Hard work never scared her, she went from factory worker to clerking for the sheriff’s office, from butcher’s shop to real estate agent. She finally settled into property management for nearly thirty years until she retired in 2021. 

People were easily attracted to her warmth, generous nature and ready smile. She always had a seat open at her table for anyone who wanted it and an ear to listen. She found camaraderie no matter where her job took her, and she earned the respect of the people around her.

Kathy enjoyed gardening, quilting, painting, cooking, and treasure hunting in the antique shops. Most of all, Kathy loved her family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17th at Smith Family Funeral home, 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR. Visitation begins at 1:30pm with the memorial service to follow at 2:00pm.
