Mary Bessent

Mary Ruth Bessent, 79, of Alexander, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2020 at Amberwood Nursing Home. She was born December 30, 1940 in Donaldson, Georgia. She was the daughter of Murphy Richardson Tyler and Myrtle Dee Jones. She was a retired nurse.

Mary Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Murphy and Myrtle Tyler and her husband, Sidney DeBarry Bessent. She is survived by daughters, Susan (Nathan) Waite and Shelia (Sammy) Caviness; sons, Lawrence Bessent and Tony (Joni) Bessent; seven grandchildren, Christopher and Cody Drye, Tyler Akers, Jaci Bessent, Colton Caviness, Sydney and Taylor Bessent; and great-grandchildren, Hayley Drye, Lain and Kyndall Drye, and Audia Caviness (due in January).

A graveside service will be held at 2:30PM Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Pinecrest Memorial Park.  AR Covid-19 Directives: Face masks and social distancing required.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life Baptist Church- Alexander in Mary's name.
