Mary Ethel Berg, 82, of North Little Rock, departed this life on Monday, April 27, 2009. She was born on January 12, 1927 to Luther and Ethel Ball. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Harold, Jack and Charles Ball.
Mary is survived by her husband, Sam Berg and a sister, Pauline (Jim) Tate of Stuttgart. She is also survived by two sons, Bill Lyons and wife Marilyn of Searcy, Mike Berg and his wife Larita of Little Rock, and one daughter Debbie King and husband Butch of Sherwood. Mary also had ten grandchildren: Deborah Coop (Luke), of Sherwood, Joe Lyons of Searcy, Sarah Brown (Damon) of Sherwood, Scarlett Berg of Clinton, Michelle Majors (Jerry) of Monticello, Mark McNabb (Kristi) of Sherwood, Denise Wright (John) of RAF Lakenheath, Paula Draeger (Justin) of Sherwood, Jessica Kasischke (Richard) of Houston and Zac Ball of Fayetteville. In addition there are 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 12:00 P.M., Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church in North Little Rock with Celebrants Rev. Tom Stehlik, CM and Rev. James Ward, CM. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, officiated by Pastor Jerry Sanders follow by a visitation at 5:00 P.M., and Rosary at 5:30 P.M. at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
