Mary Baskin

Our beautiful mother Mary Louise Stroud Hill Stringfellow Baskin, 85, earned her angel wings March 8, 2023, after a long illness. 

Born May 21, 1937 in Floyd, AR to John Riley Stroud and Mamie Manning Stroud, she grew up a country girl working on the farm with her brothers. She was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church, and was retired from Dillards, McCain Mall, after many years in retail.  Louise loved sewing and quilting, reading, and spending time with family.  Her great joy was hosting all her siblings for Thanksgiving. 

She was preceded in death by infant son, Timothy; husband Robert (Bob) Baskin; sister Helen Belew; brothers Alphen, J.R. (Nathan), Wayne, Douglas, Eldon, Myron, Robbie, and Wilbur. 

Louise is survived by daughters Donna (Wayne) Teal of Jonesboro and Michelle Stringfellow of Dallas; son Rob (Kimberly) Hill of Bradford; stepdaughter Teresa Hill of Jonesboro; grandsons Matthew (Beth) Cunningham of Jonesboro, Tyler Hill and Trey Hill of Mount Pleasant; and two very special "almost granddaughters" Riley Mason Brown and Olivia Reeves.  

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. followed by Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, AR  72012.
