Mary Ayers

Mary Helen Ayers, 82, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010. She attended 1st United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. Her passions were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She was an avid donor to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Cherokee Nation Children Fund and the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her son, Clifford Beldon Ayers, Jr. and wife, Jackie; daughter, Kelly Ayers Parkinson and husband, Jon David, all of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Meghan Elizabeth Ayers and Darby Adams; great-grandchildren, Michael Adams, Asher Parkinson, Elijah Parkinson and Micah Parkinson; and brother, Dr. Robert Herring of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford Beldon Ayers, Sr. and Alfred Lavoid Morrison; daughter, Jeanne Coccia; parents, Acie and Pearl Herring; brothers, Arvie, Herrill, O.L. and Billy Joe Herring; and sisters, Jewel Wakley and Flossie Harrison .
Memorials may be made to Dr. Mignon Loh JMML Cancer Research program, Jay De Leonard, c/o UCSF Children's Hospital, 505 Parnassus Avenue, San Francisco, California 94143.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Martinville Cemetery, Martinville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
