Marvin Short

Marvin Doyle Short, 85, of North Little Rock passed away December 5, 2014. He was a retired machinist from Chicapee with 35 years of service and was a member of Levy Baptist Church. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 58 years Billie Short of North Little Rock; son Michael (Betty) Hampton of Lonoke; daughter Donna (Carroll) Hardin of Conway; sister Oletta Bennett of Hiawassee, Georgia; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Homer Prince "Bud" and Luttie Farmer Short; daughter Shirley Short Halferty; two brothers, Leon Short and Homer Short; and sister, Pqueta Yearby.
Memorials may be made to Levy Baptist Church, 3501 Pike Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118
Services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Levy Baptist Church at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Monday, December 8, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grissard Cemetery. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com
