Marvin Louis Rogers age 71 of the Curtis Community near Arkadelphia went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2010. He was born July 8, 1939 in Clark County Arkansas the son of the late Frank and Lottie Rogers. Marvin was a active member of Center Point Baptist Church and the Gurdon Senior Adult Center. He was a milkman for Ouachita Valley dairy for many years and a security guard for Burns Security Co. His parents, one daughter, Cindy Rogers; one grandson, Chris Rogers and one brother, Jerry Rogers preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Ina Rogers; two sons, Bill Rogers (Diane) and Mike Rogers (Tommie) all of Curtis; one daughter, Kay Wells (Tim) of Gurdon; one brother, Carroll Rogers (Betty) of Curtis; two sisters, Francis Plyler (Carl) of Arkadelphia; Lois McFarland (Jerry) of Tyler, Texas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and mother-in-law, Ines Smithpeters of Okolona.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 15th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ollie Trout and Rev. Free Clower officiating. Interment will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Goshen, Eddie McMillan, Barry Hearnsberger, Steve Whitson, Jeff Rogers, Danny Melugin and James Devault. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Center Ridge Cemetery Fund.
