Marvin M. (Pete) Ogle, 78, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord December 29, 2008. He passed peacefully at his home in Beebe while sitting in his favorite chair.
Pete was born July 20, 1930, at Lone Oak, Texas, to the late Joseph Monroe Ogle and Laura Mae (Anglin) Ogle. He retired from the Army as a Sergeant First Class, having served from the post-WWII era and through the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. Pete then answered the call to preach the word of God and faithfully did so, pastoring, preaching and ministering until the very day of his passing. He ministered in the Southern Baptist denomination and for the most part, in White County. He pastored many churches over the years and is greatly beloved in this area. Brother Pete can say, as the Apostle Paul, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness in heaven."
Pete was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than forty-five years, Clyde. He is survived by his daughter, Kim Rinconeno of Tucson, Arizona; grandson Tyler Ring and wife Tiffany of Fort Hood, Texas; granddaughter Brittney Rinconeno of Tucson; and great-grandson Gianni; brothers Jim of Heber Springs, Fred of Ida, Ed of Cave Springs; sisters Helen of Ft. Smith and Faye of Owosso, Michigan.
