Marvin Kizziar age 72, of Bismarck went home to be with his Savior August 10, 2010. He had fought a courageous battle since his motorcycle wreck in 2007. He was born August 18, 1937 in Friendship, AR., the son of the late Lee and Agnes Pennington Kizziar. He retired in 2002 from Mountain Valley Water in Hot Springs where he worked as a truck driver. He was an ordained minister for 36 years serving in several area churches and a U. S. Army Veteran. Four brothers; J. W., Odie, Elvin, and Larry Kizziar, preceeded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Garrett Kizziar; one son Tim Kizziar and wife, Brandy of Bismarck; five grandchildren; Jodi, Heather, and Chloe Kizziar, and Jacqueline Davis and Wyatt McNanna; one great-grandchild, Taylor Norwood; two brothers, Lindell Kizziar and Johnny Kizziar both of Texas; four sisters, Wanda Thompson of Arkadelphia, Margaret Starkey of Donaldson, and Bonnie Adams and Cookie Cannon both of Malvern.
Funeral services will be at 2 P. M. Friday, August 13th at Bismarck Pentecostal Church with Rev. Van Glidewell officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Oak Bower Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 P.M. at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, P. O. Box 1280, North Little Rock, AR. 72115.
