Martin R. Hill, age 68, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
He was born on August 12, 1952, in Alamo, the son of Samuel Mitchell Hill and Lucille Craft Hill. On January 12, 1985, he was married to Martina Louise Manson Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a self-employed welder, having owned his own business for over thirty years, where he worked building and repairing boat docks and ramps. Martin enjoyed the outdoors, was a member of the Not Quite Right Racing Team at the Clinton Chuck Wagon Races for twenty years and was an avid fisherman. He truly loved his family and getting to spend time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Martina Hill of Glenwood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Marlana Hill of Hot Springs and Jason and Marylyn Timbs of Pearcy; one daughter, Angela Marie Hill of Hot Springs; two stepchildren, Angela Kukarola and her husband, Jim, of Granite City, Illinois and Christopher Wallace and his girlfriend, Mary, of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren, Dakota Hill, Taylor Hill, Melissa Hill, Brandon Kukarola, Darin Kukarola and Ryan Kukarola; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Donna Hill of Hot Springs and Dale and Yvette Hill of Amity; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Charlie Griffin of Tennessee and Sandra and Carl Benedict of Glenwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date to be announced.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
