Marthell Hoggard

Marthell O'Quinn Hoggard, 97, of Jacksonville, AR went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2023. She was born July 25, 1926 to Oscar and Flossie McCorkle O'Quinn in Vilonia, AR.

While her husband was serving in the military during WWII, she worked at the Jacksonville Ordinance Plant in Jacksonville, Ar. The remainder of her life she was a HOMEMAKER. She was a faithful member of Bayou Meto Baptist Church and loved rocking the babies in the nursery. Marthell was known for her inward beauty, delicious meals, and welcoming all visitors.

Marthell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Russell Livingston Hoggard; her brothers Howard, Granville, and Walter Edward; sister Marie Lambert; and grandson Jody Hoggard.

Surviving Marthell is her sister Nelda Florence (George); her children Raymond (Nancy), Lonnie, Catherine (Thomas) Eckelkamp, and Dennis; Grandchildren Jason Hoggard, Kristi (Cory) Sutton and Mark (Mandy) Eckelkamp; 9 great-grandchildren, Brock, Olivia, Kaitlyn, Jesse, Ashton, Cassie, Trinity, Kyra, Emma and 1 great-great grandchild, Reuben.

The celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Bayou Meto Baptist Church. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at the church. Marthell will be laid to rest at Vilonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Baptist Health Hospice Care or Bayou Meto Baptist Church.
