Martha Roberts

A beautiful soul, Martha Marie Roberts, 77, of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 with her family at her side. Martha was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a devoted and active parishioner of St. Edward Catholic Church and a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality. After 35 years of service as a nurse at UAMS, she began enjoying retirement in 2000.

Preceded in death by her father, Henry Carl Breyel, mother, Mary Theresa Bruck Breyel, her husband, Duane "Jim" Roberts and brother, Joe Herman Breyel, she is survived by her sons, James Roberts and wife, Janet and Gregory Roberts and wife, Stephanie, all of Little Rock; daughter, Mary Rader and husband, George of Sherwood; sisters, Theresa Grabher of Little Rock, Mary Ann Drone of Louisiana and Generose Selva of El Salvador; brother, Henry "Uncle Buddy" Breyel and wife, Sue of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Reese Roberts, Matthew Rader, Andrew Rader and Alex Christ.

The Rosary service will be Tuesday evening, March 29 at 7:00 p.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Greg Luyet at St. Edward Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at the Little Rock National Cemetery.
