Martha Marie Palmer age 71 of Alpine died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at her home. She was born May 10, 1937 the daughter of Tom and Julie Ann Cross McManus. She was a Baptist and a nurse' aide for the Area Agency on Aging.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Arnold Palmer; four sons, Richard Forrest and wife, Teresa; Jimmy Palmer; Dwight Palmer and fiancé, Tonya Stafford all of Amity, AR; Randy Palmer and wife, Mona of Alpine, AR; two step-children, Debbie Lambert and husband, Stevie of Amity, AR; Bruce Rowland and wife, Joy of Arkadelphia; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2009 at Alpine Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Gerald Ward officiating with burial in Alpine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie, Donnie and Steven Forrest, Todd Palmer, Dustin Owens, Henry Tigue, Scott Cook and Tim Wilson. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
