Martha Evelyn Jackson Kersey, age 68, of Kirby, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016. She was born on March 16, 1948 in Murfreesboro, the daughter of Oather Jackson and Vera Lue Cotton Jackson. On July 23, 1965, she was married to Harold Kersey. She was preceded in death by her parents; and eight siblings, Vernon Jackson, J. B. Jackson, Paul Jackson, Joe Jackson, Shirley Long, Clara Kay Copeland, O. A. Jackson and Lola Jean Stuart. She attended Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Martha enjoyed her garden, flowers and cooking. She is survived by her husband, Harold Kersey of Kirby; four children and their spouses, Tammy and David Alexander of Provo, Tabatha and Brian Haley of Hot Springs, Harold and Sharon Kersey of Sunshine and Carmella and Chad Bradshaw of Provo; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, David Jackson and Jerry Jackson, both of Murfreesboro, and Aaron Jackson of Delight; her sister, Georgia Tolleson of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 11, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Bobby Golden and Bro. Larry Miller officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in McHorse Cemetery in Provo. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and include Austin Kersey, Jordan Kersey, Lane Kersey, Blake Bradshaw, Adam Bradshaw and Brock Haley. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters and include, Candice Gilbert, Cameron Glasgow, Stephanie Welch and Brittany Tollett.
