Marlin Edward Smith, age 77, of Bonnerdale, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born in 1941 on the very same day of the year he passed, July 25th, and in the same place, Bonnerdale. He was the son of Paul Edward Smith and Beckie Pasley Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Sidney Samuel Smith. He retired after many years of working in lawn care and as a landscaper, and was a Christian, who loved the Lord. He enjoyed hunting and dearly loved his grandchildren. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Roy and Lynn Smith of San Angelo, Texas, Rebecca and Willie Hensley of Bonnerdale and Lawrence Smith of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Argus Smith and Carl Smith; seven sisters, Mae Garner, Nettie Betlinski, Lucy Price, Rachel Smith, Joan Ackerman, Joyce Smith and Tanya Standerfer; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 28, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Grant Wehunt officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 12:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Howton Cemetery near Bonnerdale. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
